Machak, Anna A., 95, formerly of Seward, died May 26, 2008 at Burke Healthcare Center, Burke, Virginia. Born Nov. 25, 1912, in Seward, daughter of John and Mary (Petrovic) Zamiska. Preceded in death by parents, husband, Frank, who died in 1980; brothers, John, Charles, and Raymond Zamiska; and sisters, Mary Bottegal and Catherine Komara, and grandson David Toronto. Survived by children, Mary Ann married to William Kovacs, Elyria, Ohio, Carole married to Anthony Toronto, Columbia, Md., Margaret Fatula, Woodbridge, Va., Frank married to Patricia, Woodbridge, Va. and John and friend, Kitty Boehs, Springfield, Va; 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Anna was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Seward, Pa., and the Rosary Altar Society. Retired as a baker from United Area School District. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Jon A. Meese Funeral Home, 1201 Fifth Street, Seward.Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Holy Family Catholic Church, Seward, the Rev. John Wilt officiating. Interment, Armagh Cemetery. Holy rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
