Charles S. Schmidt

SCHMIDT Charles S., 65, Johnstown, went to be with the Lord Sept. 6, 2011, at Memorial Medical Center, after a heroic battle with cancer. Born March 27, 1946, in Annapolis, Md., son of Helmar and Margaret (Tucker) Schmidt. Preceded in death by parents and nephew, Travis Beyerle. Survived by loving bride, Barbara; sons, Daniel, Johnstown; Scott, married to Suzi; and Michael, married to Heather; and daughter, Dawn, married to A.J. Heller, all of Maryland; also numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Member of New Life Church, New Florence. Death break marriage union of 24 years. Employed with 23 years of service by Walnut Management Corp. of Johnstown. There will be no viewing or visitation. Interment will be private. Memorial service will be held at a later date at the discretion of the family. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Jon A. Meese Funeral Home. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness
