Winters, Claire Arlene, 92 of Charles passed away December 3, 2024. Born July 17, 1932 in Seward. Daughter of Clair and Mildred (Hepner) Dishong. Preceded in death by parents, husband Jon C. Winters, daughter Mary Gail, an infant son, and sister Rae Ruddell Currie. Survived by loving children; Gail married to Larry Shaffer – Medford, Oregon, Joy C. married to Louis Pisarcik- Brush Valley, Jill C. married to David Mountain – Clarksburg, and Jay C. Winters married to the former Melissa Silvis – Charles; Grandchildren, Jennifer Shaffer, Nicole Dawn Mountain, Stephanie Marie Fleming (Richard), LeeAnna Pisarcik, Rebecca Lyn Pisarcik, Abigail Lyn Winters, Jon Clair Winters; Great grandchildren, Clayre Jaye Shaffer, Tristan Mountain-Bordelon, Zayden “Matthew” Mountain, and Brayden Mountain; and special friend, Mike Sank . Arlene was a member of Armagh-Seward Presbyterian Church where she served as Sunday school teacher, superintendent, and choir member. She enjoyed tatting, gardening, and canning. She also enjoyed sports, especially Pittsburgh sports, golf and horseracing. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Friends received Tuesday 2 -4 pm and 6-8 pm at Jon A. Meese Funeral Home – Seward, where funeral service will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, Rev Ruth Moore officiating. Interment Armagh Cemetery.
