Esther Carosella Obituary

Carosella, Esther D. , 77, Seward, died Jan. 9, 2008, at Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born Sept. 3, 1930, in Reed City, Pa., daughter of George S. and Edna S. (Lowry) Keller. Preceded in death by parents; husband S. Tony, who died Oct. 17, 1994; son, Donald, who died April 13, 2003, and brother, Harry. Survived by daughters, Wanda Keller, Johnstown; Annette Carosella, Brush Valley; and Marie Gelormino, Johnstown; grandchildren, Jennifer, Shawna and Justin Gelormino; and brothers and sisters, Velma Cable, Hyasota, Pa.; Thelma Keller, Johnstown; Ruth Hillegas, Berlin; Earl Keller, married to Jane, Irmo, S.C.; and Ida Waters, Brunswick, Ohio. Member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Seward. Retired clerk at the Seward branch of the U.S. Post Office with 22 years of service. Member of Seward Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, where she served as treasurer. She was a volunteer at St. Vincent DePaul and Salvation Army. She was an avid bingo player. Friends will be reveived from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Jon A. Meese Funeral Home, 1201 Fifth Street, Seward. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Holy Family Catholic Church, Seward, the Rev. John Wilt officiating. Holy rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Interment, Armagh Cemetery.
