PHARES – Everett Loye, 76, Charles, went to be with the Lord Friday, July 4, 2014, while residing at the home of his son, Chris, at 14540 Elm Ave., Mount Union. Born July 4, 1938, in Arborvale, W.Va., son of the late Mose and Marvel (Simmons) Eye. His wife, Margaret (Hogue) Phares, preceded him in death. Survived by his longtime companion, Nettie Clark, of the same address; and children, Sherry Wean, and husband, Steve, Harrisonburg, Va.; Donald Phares, and wife, Vicki, Harrisonburg, Va.; James “Jim” Phares, and wife, Tammy, Weston, Ohio; Amy Balty, and husband, David, McDonough, Ga.; Chris Phares, and wife, Essie, Mount Union; and Carole Crim, Millbrook, Pa. Also survived by the children of his companion, Nettie Clark. His son, Rick Phares, preceded him in death. There are 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren surviving. Brother of Mary Mitchell, Franklin, W.Va.; Ann Hartman, Franklin, W.Va.; Harold Phares , Florida; and Virginia Case, Colorado. There were seven brothers and sisters that preceded him in death. Mr. Phares was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a logger for most of his adult life. He was of the Allegheny Wesleyan Methodist faith of Johnstown. Mr. Phares loved the outdoors and will be remembered for his sense of humor and his strong work ethic. Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Jon A. Meese Funeral Home, Seward. Private interment.
