Frank E. Boring

BORING – Frank E., 70, Latrobe, formerly of New Florence, died Feb. 24, 2012, at Bethlen Home, Ligonier. Born June 27, 1941, in Johnstown, son of Joseph H. and Mary Elizabeth (Rager) Boring. Preceded in death by wife, Betty, who died in 2002; brothers, Carl and Joseph; and sister, Betty Lou Smith. Survived by these loving children: Robert S. Hicks, married to former Kelly Goodlin, New Florence; David M. Hicks, married to former Patricia Crooks, Seward; Michele J., married to Michael Ritenour, Johnstown; and Amy, married to Kevin Dailey, Latrobe; grandchildren, Casey and Toby Hicks; Deanne, Lauren and Rick Hicks; Ronnie Rensko-Minicucci; Mykkie Ritenour; Samantha Loughry; and Elijah Garland; great- grandchildren, Nikki, Shawn and Jalycia Hicks; brothers, Lee Boring, Masontown, W.Va., and Richard Boring, Brunswick, Ohio. Retired steelworker employed by Bethlehem Steel Corp. Member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. An avid fisherman. He loved sports, going for long rides, and eating out. He also loved to garden. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 until time of funeral service at 7 p.m. Sunday at Jon A. Meese Funeral Home, 1201 Fifth St., Seward, John Varmecky officiating. Private interment
