Gerald "Jerry" Rusin

RUSIN – Gerald Edward “Jerry,” 59, Seward, passed away Jan. 20, 2014, at Memorial Medical Center. Born April 17, 1954, in Johnstown, son of Edward J. and Agnes Marie (Gorman) Rusin. Preceded in death by grandparents; father, Edward J.; and nephew, Aaron. Survived by loving mother, Agnes Marie Rusin; sons, Andrew and Michael Rusin; daughter, Crystal; grandchildren, Christopher, Charliemarie, Chase and Alania; and loving brothers, Ted, married to the former Linda Peters; Timothy; Jeffrey; Christopher, married to the former Janice Henry; and Joel, married to the former Jane Wood. Member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Seward; Holy Name Society; and Knights of Columbus. He was president of Seward Borough Council and was Seward Borough Judge of Elections. He worked as a caregiver with Accessibilities and Florence Mining Co. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam era. He was a volunteer at St. Vincent de Paul. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Jon A. Meese Funeral Home, Seward. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Holy Family Catholic Church, Seward, the Rev. Robert Washko, officiating. Private interment at Armagh Cemetery.
