AMBROSE Gertrude E., 93, Seward, died Dec. 10, 2010, at Indiana Hospital. Born March 29, 1917, in Mount Pleasant, daughter of William J. and Louella M. (Shaffer) Snyder. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward S. Ambrose; son, James E. Ambrose; infant son, William S. Ambrose; brothers, Lawrence, Joseph, Charles, David and Leo Snyder; and sisters, Ida, Jennie, and Annabel. Survived by loving daughter, Louella, married to Tom Buckingham, Seward; loving son, Thomas C. Ambrose, married to former Sheryle Rager, Brush Valley; four grandchildren; six great- grandchildren; and sisters, Janet Frey, New York, and Eleanor Ambrose, Ohio. Attended Seward United Methdist Church. Retired with 17 years' service at Lee Hospital. Life member of Seward Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary and Golden Age Club. Attended Armagh Senior Center and New Florence Senior Center. Former board member of Seward Community Center. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Jon A.
