Brubaker, Hallie E., 95, of Seward, died Dec. 3, 2007, in Beaver Falls, Pa. Born Sept. 16, 1912, in East Wheatfield Township, daughter of Hugh Dixon and Mary Ellen (Altemus) Tomb. Preceded in death by parents; husband of 53 years, James Edward; daughter, Reta, and husband, James Donahue; brothers, Bion, Boyd, Roscoe, Miles, Henry, Walter, Clinton and Hugh Jr.; sisters, Viola, Dora, Blanche, Elsie and Amanda. Survived by son Lewis E., married to Suzy Newswanger, Lancaster, Pa.; daughter, Dorothy, married to the Rev. David E. Youngdahl, Beaver Falls, Pa; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-stepgrandson; and seven great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Emma Tomb, Johnstown; and many nieces and nephews. Member of Seward United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir for many years and the Golden Rule class. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Jon A. Meese Funeral Home, 1201 Fifth St., Seward. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Seward United Methodist Church, the Rev. Ronald Emery officiating. Interment, Armagh Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Seward United Methodist Church.
