Hallie J. Hess

HESS – Hallie J., 59, Seward, passed away May 21, 2014, at UPMC Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born Dec. 4, 1954, in Johnstown, daughter of James R. and Rita (Brubaker) Donahue. Preceded in death by parents and grandparents, James and Hallie J. Brubaker. Survived by loving husband of 41 years, Donald L. Hess Sr., Seward; loving sons, Donald L. Jr., married to Maya, Johnstown; and Michael R., married to the former Karie Tritt, Elwood City, Pa.; loving grandchildren, Tanner, Taylor, Toby, Brady and Keelibeth; future grandchild due in August; and brother, Richard Donahue, New Florence. Hallie was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Member of Seward United Methodist Church, where she was a very active and devoted member. She was employed at Randy’s BiLo in Johnstown. Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Jon A. Meese Funeral Home, Seward. Funeral service will be private. Interment will be held at a later date at Armagh Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lymphoma and Leukemia Association in Hallie's name.
