Sahlaney, Hannah, 88, of Seward, passed away December 1, 2016 at the Bethlen Home, Ligonier. Born October 23, 1928 in Johnstown. Daughter of William and Gertrude (Kuyat) Robson. Preceded in death by parents; husband Dr. William J. Sahlaney who passed away in 2012; brother, John Feathers; and sisters, Emma McGiffin and Jeanne Wilson. Survived by loving son, Michael Sahlaney married to Linda Colgan, Seward; loving daughter, Polly married to Leonard Benning, Ligonier; grandchildren, Ted and Amy Benning, Elizabeth and husband Michael Ladurner, Sarah Sahlaney, Timothy Benning, Teresa and Jeremy Barber, Michaelanne Stutsman; great grandchildren, Claire and William Benning, Hannah and Maximilian Ladurner, Katie and Brandon Sarver, and PJ and Alex Dumnich. Hannah was a member of Seward United Methodist Church having been a very active member for 60 years as a choir member, organist, and pianist. She was a retired registered nurse from Lee Hospital and retired from working at her husband's medical practice. She was also active in the American Red Cross. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Friends and family will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Jon A. Meese Funeral Home, Seward. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Seward United Methodist Church, the Rev. Scott Hamley officiating. Interment Grandview Cemetery, Johnstown.
