McGINNIS Harry E., 77, Seward, died Aug. 27, 2011, at Memorial Medical Center. Born Feb. 22, 1934, in Buffington Township, son of Jesse and Esther (Birge) McGinnis. Preceded in death by parents; first wife, Marge; son, Harry E.; and brothers, Jesse and James. Survived by loving wife, the former Donna Fox, Seward; loving daughters, Joy, married to John Robbins, Ebensburg, and Thomasine, married to William Acosta, Dominican Republic; grandchildren, Clint and Cassandra Ambrose; Zachary and Joshua Darr; Carlos and Manuel Acosta; and Brianna Edwards; brothers, Willis, Arizona; Alfred, New Hampshire; George; and Raymond, Shinglehouse; and sisters, Bertha Broughton, Cramer; Orvetta Hoffman, Illinois; Thelma Moore, Michigan; and Margaret Shomo, Seward. Death breaks a marriage union of 42 years. U.S. Army and Army Reserve veteran of 38 years, serving in the Korean Conflict. Also served overseas in Greenland and Japan. A lifetime member of Seward Volunteer Fire Company and VFW 7022 Thomas Lewis Post, Seward. He had 34 years of service as a crane operator at Bethlehem Steel Corp. Also worked for Nicosia Stone Quarry. A certified inspection mechanic. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Jon A. Meese Funeral Home, 1201 Fifth St., Seward, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, the Rev. James Farrer. Interment, Armagh Cemetery. Military service will be conducted by Conemaugh Valley Detachment 287 Marine Corps League
