Herbert Lynn Mack

Mack, Herbert Lynn, 88, Seward, passed away March 17, 2017, at Beacon Ridge Nursing Care, Indiana, Pa. Born March 15, 1929, in Belsano, son of John Perry and Nessia L. (Lord) Mack. Preceded in death by parents; son, Denny; grandson, Schaun Crain; and numerous brothers and sisters. Survived by loving wife of 66 years, Koto (Kaneko) Mack; loving children, Nancy Armond, Seward; Vickie, married to Jim Leydig, New Florence; Jeffrey, married to the former Lori Kohan, Blairsville; and Patrick, married to the former Jean Kovach, Seward; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Herb was a former member of Chickaree Union Church, where he taught Sunday school. Retired with 30 years of service as crew chief at Penelec. U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. Herb will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was affectionately known as Pepop by his great-grandchildren. Friends and family will be received from 10 a.m. up until time of service at noon Monday at Jon A. Meese Funeral Home, Seward, the Rev. Rick Corbett, officiating. Private interment, Armagh Cemetery.
