Hilda Mae Peterson

PETERSON Hilda Mae, 97, Vintondale, died June 17, 2011, at LaurelWood Nursing Care. Born Jan. 31, 1914, in Johnstown, daughter of Moses Mont and Pearl (Ressler) Ling. Preceded in death by parents; husband, George W. Peterson, who died in 1997; and brother, Willard Ling. Survived by loving son, Rodney, married to the former Mary Lou Yurkovich, Vintondale; niece, Silvia Stutzman; and nephew, Rick Ling. Member of Armagh United Methodist Church. Lifetime member of United Area Lions Club. She was employed by DeRoy's Clothing & Jewelry for 25 years. She enjoyed going to the Armagh Senior Citizens, and loved having cats as pets. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Jon A. Meese Funeral Home, 1201 Fifth St., Seward, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, the Rev. John Hodge, officiating. Interment, Armagh Cemetery.
