LYNCH – James Kenneth Sr., 72, Seward, passed away April 30, 2014, at home. Born March 29, 1942, in Seward, son of Thomas E. and Helen (Kluk) Lynch. Preceded in death by parents; daughter, Barbara; brothers, Thomas and Robert Lynch; and sisters, Berna Dean Baker and Theresa Gorman. Survived by loving wife of 42 years, Debbie, Seward; loving children, Donna, married to Barry Boothby, Johnstown; Heather, married to Tony Thurber Sr., Burnt Cabins; and James Jr., married to former Tina McNulty, Seward; grandchildren, Samantha and Rebecca Boothby, Tony Jr. and Luke Thurber, Breanna and Brittany Lynch and Kristen and Katelyn Emigh; brothers, Richard Lynch, and Patrick Lynch, married to Mary Ann; and sisters, Agnes Alexander, married to Glenn, and Mary Catherine Robertson, married to Robert. Ken was a retired pipefitter, serving with 354 Plumber and Pipefitter Union. He was chairman of the grill committee at VFW Post 7022, Seward. He loved attending and coaching his granddaughter’s softball games. He was a lifetime member of the Seward Volunteer Fire Company. Ken will be sadly missed by all who knew and love him. Friends will received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Jon A. Meese Funeral Home, Seward, where funeral service will he held at 11 a.m. Saturday, the Rev. Scott Hamley, officiating. Private interment, Armagh Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, place make donations directly to the family.
