James L. Pardee

Pardee, James L. “Pap” , 88, of Seward passed away April 3, 2025 at Life’s Promise Nursing Care in Ligonier.  Born May 13, 1936 in Armagh,  the son of James and Lou (Hurd) Pardee.  Preceded in death by parents, first wife Margie (Burkett), second wife Margie (Collins), son Douglas,  sister Dolly Sullivan, and daughter-in-law Kelly Pardee.  Survived by loving sons James (Connie), Michael, Robert (Donna), and Thomas (Sandy); step daughter Veronica (Robert) Hoke; grandchildren: Stephanie, Adam (Alana), Jordan (Suzan), Jessica (David), Eric, Josh (Beth), Stephen (Alyssa), Austin (Emily);  great-grandchildren: Logan, Piper, Sydney,  Garrett, Paisley, Jameson, Ella, Parker, Oliver, Merritt, McKenzie, Delaney, Dylan, Easton; and numerous nieces and nephews.  Jim was a member of New Life Church and retired with 30 years of service at Penelec.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing.  He was an avid Pittsburgh Pirate and Notre Dame football fan.  Jim was extremely proud of his boys and dearly loved his grandchildren.  Friends will be received at the Jon A. Meese Funeral Home – Seward  from 11 a.m. up until time of service at 1 p.m. on Saturday April 5, Pastor Amy McLaughlin officiating.  Private interment.   The Jon A. Meese Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
