Lear, Janet Louise, 78 of Hollidaysburg, formerly of Armagh Pa. passed away December 2, 2024 at home. Born September 12, 1946 in Altoona Pa. Daughter of Paul A. and Minnie Mae (Hughes) Grannas. Preceded in death by parents and loving husband Robert N. Lear (2020). Survived by loving children; Lisa married to Jim Porter – Scottdale, Pa and Brad married to the former Shannon Commesso – Hollidaysburg; grandchildren, Jacob and Olivia Porter, Hannah married to Michael Davis, Rylee, Sydney, and Kamryn Lear; brother Samuel Grannas (Emily) – Hollidaysburg. Janet was a loyal and devoted Christian having been a member of Armagh Methodist Church. She loved spending time with her grandchildren most of all. She enjoyed crafting, arranging flowers as a florist, reading, audio books, and she loved making fires. Janet was a graduate of Williamsburg High School and Hagerstown Medical College. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and will be missed by her family. Friends will be received at a Celebration of Life visitation from 1-3 pm Saturday at Jon A. Meese Funeral Home – Seward. Private interment at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Williamsburg Veterans Memorial Assn. Community Center, 305 East 2nd Street Suite B, Williamsburg Pa 16693.
