Janet Troyan Obituary

Troyan, Janet E., 88, of Seward, passed away January 17, 2025 at Windber Woods.  Born May 20, 1936 in Hendricks, West Virginia, daughter of Edward James and Evelyn (White) Meyer.  Preceded in death by parents, grandparents, husband William R. Troyan Sr (1981), son William R. (Jake) Troyan Jr, brother Edward C. Meyer, and sister Marsha Mulligan.  Survived by loving children; Michael – Eau Claire, Wisconsin, Thomas  (Irene) –Johnstown, Richard – New Florence, Cheryl  Priest – Seward, Patricia (Jeffrey) Tamm- Johnstown, and Elizabeth (Tom) Custer – Seward; grandchildren, Michael, Trisha, David, Dana, Adam, Justin, Matthew, Jessica, Ashley, Tyler, Zach, and Scarlet; numerous great grandchildren.  Janet was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and a lifetime member of Seward Volunteer Fire Company Auxiliary, where she was famous for baking cakes for all occasions.  She was a Girl Scout Leader for 10 years and enjoyed Bingo,  Pokeno, and knitting.  She was also an avid Nascar fan of Dale Earnhart.  Janet loved her grandchildren and her family.  Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Jon A. Meese Funeral Home- Seward.  Mass of Christian Burial  Wednesday  11 a.m.  at Holy Family Catholic Church – Seward, Reverend John J. Harrold officiating.  Interment Grandview Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, make donations to Seward Vol.  Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.   Visit www.meesefuneralhome.com.
