John A. Holupka

HOLUPKA - John A., 60, Robindale Heights, died Dec. 5, 2009, at home. Born Feb. 18, 1949, in Johnstown, son of John and Mary Louise (Casper) Holupka. Preceded in death by mother, Mary Louise, and brother, Michael. Survived by father, John, Johnstown; wife, Marlene; sons, John, married to former Lisa Marino of Charles; Lance of Seward; and Stephen, James and Matthew, all of Armagh; grandchildren, Trevor and Hannah Holupka; sister, Georgeann Holupka, Johnstown; and niece, Erin Holupka. U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam Era. Involved in all United sports youth programs, baseball, basketball and football. Worked as a coal miner. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, to honor John's memory at Jon A. Meese Funeral Home, 1201 5th St., Seward. Memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 14, at Holy Family Catholic Church, Seward, Father Robert Washko officiating. Private interment, Armagh Cemetery.
