SIMON - John, 87, Charles, died March 8, 2010, at St. Andrew's Village, Indiana, Pa. Born May 5, 1922, in Claghorn, Pa., son of George and Mary (Seibert) Simon. Preceded in death by parents; sister, Helen Ernhardt; and brother, George Simon. Survived by loving wife, the former Mary Dubil, Charles; daughter, Mary Ann, married to James Wagner, Indiana, Pa.; son, Robert, married to the former Lila Clark, Brush Valley; and grandchildren, Eric Wagner, and wife, Lindsay; Emily Wagner; and Kelley and Bobby Simon. Brother of Elizabeth Biondo, Vintondale; Mary Kerekes, Vintondale; Margaret Caparimo, Clyde; Irene Devlin, Seward; William Simon, Charles; Frank Simon, Pontiac, Mich.; Joseph Simon, Florida; and Goldie Mack, Clyde. Member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Seward. Death breaks marriage union of 62 years. Retired coal miner, having worked with Imperial and Barnes & Tucker coal companies. He enjoyed being a grandfather and loved his grandchildren very much. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Jon A. Meese Funeral Home, 1201 Fifth St., Seward. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at noon Saturday at Holy Family Catholic Church, Seward, the Rev. Robert Washko, officiating. Interment, Armagh Cemetery.
