Leo M. Luther

LUTHER – Leo M., 79, Johnstown, went to be with the Lord March 7, 2012, at Conemaugh Valley Memorial Hospital. Born Oct. 27, 1932, in Ebensburg, son of Augustine and Gertrude (Sloe) Luther. Preceded in death by parents; brother, Paul; sisters, Geraldine and Rose; and nephew, Paul Jr. Survived by these loving children: Laura A. Luther, Pittsburgh; Lynn A. Luther, married to Allen Luther Sr., Robindale Heights; and Timothy M. Luther, married the former Tracey J. Shaffer, Stoystown; former wife, Nancy Luther; grandchildren, Naomi and Tiara Nelson, Ryan Betts, Alicia Tomb, Aimee Cameron, Allen Luther Jr., Alyse M. Luther-Davis, Ashley Baker and Anthony Chirico; brothers, Earl Luther, Ebensburg, and Milton R. Luther, Ohio; sister-in-law, Dee Luther, Ebensburg; and longtime friend, Mary Ann Urban, Johnstown. Member of Resurrection Parish. U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in Germany. Certified public account, employed by Thompson Product Co. Retired from the federal government as a contract price analyst. Member of the American Legion. Leo was an accomplished writer and a published author. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Jon A. Meese Funeral Home, 1201 Fifth St., Seward, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, the Rev. Robert Washko, officiating. Interment, Armagh Cemetery.
