Margaret C. Carney

Carney, Margaret Catherine - 92, of Seward, passed away January 10, 2017, at Indiana Regional Hospital. Born December 29, 1924 in Ebensburg. Daughter of Phillip and Mary (Duman) Illig. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Bernard, Hugh, Francis, and Charles Illig; sisters, Evelyn Noel, Ann Ehrhart, and Mary Fodor. Survived by loving husband of 70 years, Earl W Carney, Sr. Loving children, Patricia Lindsey, Armagh; Linda, married to Michael Kowal, Blairsville; Mary Jane, married to Ron Hangar,Seward; Lucie, married to Michael Borcherding, Florida; and Earl Carney, Jr., Seward; 9 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren. Brother John Illig. Margaret was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Seward. She enjoyed hiking trails with her husband and family. Funeral service for the family will be private. Father Robert Washko, officiating, Private interment Armagh Cemetery.
