Mary Jane Yack

YACK - Mary Jane, 84, lifelong resident of Seward, died Dec. 3, 2009, at Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Born May 18, 1925, in Seward, daughter of George and Anna (Gridler) Yack. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Jim and Robert "Doak" Yack; and sisters, Phyllis Blankenbicker and Margaret Ritenour. Survived by sister, Kathy, married to Neil Foote, Shelbyville, Del.; eight nieces; seven nephews; and numerous and many grandnieces and grandnephews, including her special quadruplets. Member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Seward. Retired from Penelec with 43 years of service, having served in the human resources department. A 50-year member of the Catholic Daughters Court and a member of the Rosary Altar Society. Aunt Jane was a most beloved, special aunt, and will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Friends and family will be received at a memorial service at 11 a.m. Jan. 2 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Seward, the Rev. Robert Washko, officiating. Interment, Grandview Mausoleum.
