Michael, born April 27, 1958 in Johnstown, was a sportsman who loved fishing, the outdoors and animals. He loved his family and watching sports and westerns. He and his wife, Tina Rudnik of Johnstown, had a comfortable and enduring marriage of 39 years. He is survived by his mother, Alvinia H. (Valenti) Rudnik, of Indiana (formerly of Seward) and siblings: Edward Rudnik of Seward, Mary Kaye Rhoades of New Florence and Judith Brickner of New Florence and is preceded in death by his father, Edward J. Rudnik, of Armagh. He was a typical father in that he was loved, adored and often admonished by his three daughters and their husbands: Melanie and Kevin Corrigan of Clarkston, Michigan, Angela and Russell (RJ) Watt and Rebecca and Kyle Renaud of Philipsburg. He was a loving and proud Pappy to Logan, Ethan, Brayden, Michael, Blake, Colin and Madelyn.
Mike was diagnosed with lung cancer in February and succumbed to it on March 13, 2018.
Family will receive friends from 3-5 P.M at Jon A. Meese Funeral Home in Seward on Sunday, March 18 followed by a memorial service at 4:30 P.M. A dinner reception will follow at the Seward Community Center.
