Yaworski, Mike - 79, of Seward, passed away May 11, 2017, at Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown; surrounded by his loving family. Born October 14,1937 in Irvona, Pa. Son of Mike and Mary (Uadiski) Yaworski. Preceded in death by parents; loving wife, Dory; son, Larry "Stubby" Kimes; grandson, Ryan C. Kimes; brothers, Joseph and George Yaworski; and sister, Anna Jane Stiffler, also stepfather, Joe Novak. Survived by these loving children, Sueann Kimes, Armagh; Marsha, married to Tom Mack, Armagh; and Michael Yaworski, married to the former Michele Anderson, Robinson. Six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Also brother, Jim Yaworski, Charles. Mike was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church - Seward. He was a US Army veteran serving as a sergeant (E5) with the 46th Infantry Division during the Cuban Missile Crisis and Vietnam War. He was a 1956 graduate of United High School , having been a member of the track team that participated at state championships, and the football team. Mike retired with 32 years service as an air conditioning technician with Miller-Picking Co. He was a 52 year member of the Seward VFW Post #7022. Mike is now with the love of his life, Dory. At his request, there will be no viewing or visitation. A memorial mass will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at Holy Family Catholic Church - Seward. Father Robert Washko officiating.
