Ralph R. Keck

Keck - Ralph R., 91, Plum Borough, formerly of Seward, died May 16, 2009, at Forbes Regional Hospital. Born Dec. 31, 1917, in Pettarano Sul Gizio, Italy, son of Vincent M. and Cleonice (Pace) Keck. Preceded in death by parents; wife, Anna, who died in 1989, son, Vincent M. Keck, and wife, Kimberly; grandson, Michael; granddaughter, Dawn; sister, Jane Gennaro; and brother, Robert Keck. Survived by daughter, Linda Allison, Plum Borough; grandchildren, Leslie, Derek and Benjamin Allison; brother, Rudy Keck, married to Gladys, Seward; and sister, Gilda Galbreath, Bolivar. Member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Seward. World War II Army veteran, serving in Italy, Africa, and Germany. Self-employed co-owner of Seward Lumber Co. Lifetime member of these organizations: VFW Thomas Lewis Post 7022, Seward; Sandybottom Sportsman Club; and Seward Volunteer Fire Company. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Jon A. Meese Funeral Home, 1201 Fifth St., Seward. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Family Catholic Church, Father Robert Washko officiating. Interment, Armagh Cemetery.
