Robert N. Lear

LEAR Robert N., 77 of Armagh, passed away January 15, 2020 at Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Born August 6, 1942 in Altoona, Pa. Son of George and Helen (Mogle) Lear.  Preceded in death by parents, brothers: Charles "Bud" Lear, Roy Lear; sister, Patricia Yeager-Hinish; niece, Diana Yeager-Hetrick; and  nephew, Clay Yeager.  Survived by loving wife of 52 years, the former Janet (Grannas) Lear; loving daughter, Lisa married to Jim Porter, Scottdale Pa, loving son, Brad Lear  married to the former Shannon Commesso, Hollidaysburg; grandchildren, Jacob, Hannah, and Olivia Porter, Rylee, Sydney, and Kamryn Lear; nieces, Gay Yeager-Gorsuch (Bill), Cookie Lear-Barr; and sister in law, Audrey Reigh-Lear; nephews, Jeff and Tom (Lynn) Lear.  Robert was a member of the Armagh United Methodist Church.  He was a United States Army Veteran serving as an MP in the Vietnam War.  Retired from Penelec Conemaugh Station.  Bob graduated from Williamsburg High School, Class of 1960 and was always proud of his hometown of Williamsburg.  He loved his family, Penn State, fishing, old cars and dirt track car racing.  He was always a hard worker.  Celebration of Life visitation hours 2-4 pm Sunday January 26, 2020 at the Jon A.
