Obituary

Mitchell, Robert E. "Mitch" 66, of Seward, passed away September 30, 2020 at home. Born September 6, 1954 in Johnstown. Son of Charles and Mildred (Gates) Mitchell. Preceded in death by parents, wife Kimberly, stepson Christopher Evans, mother-in-law Shirley Meyer, and sister-in-law Colleen Marsh. Survived by loving brother James and wife, the former Sandra Mundorff; niece Kristin and husband Tyler Stiffey, nephew Charles Mitchell and wife Kristin (McLaughlin), brother -in-law Denny Marsh, sisters-in-law Cheryll Wentz and husband Loren, Stephanie Perry, and Beverly Nave. Mitch retired from Penelec (Conemaugh Station) after 30+ years of service. He was a Shriner who accompanied others on trips to various hospitals. He was the Past President of the Indiana Co. Shrine Club. He loved playing golf, attending car shows, and delivering meals for the Seward Volunteer Fire Company. He especially loved being with his group of friends on Thursday evenings at Griffith's Tavern, giving candy to anyone who stopped by his "Reserved" table. At Robert's request, there will be no viewing of visitation. Private funeral service. Jon A. Meese Funeral Home - Seward is honored to serve the family.  Memorial donations may be made to Seward Volunteer Fire Co.
