FELIX – Sara E., 83, died Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, at Falling Spring Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Chambersburg. She was preceded in death by her husband, George, after 54 years of marriage, and also by one brother, John Sturni. Born Aug. 6, 1929, in Seward, she the daughter of the late Frank and Hazel Sturni. She graduated from Johnstown Central High School in 1947 and the Indiana Hospital Licensed Practical Nursing Program where she was employed as a nurse for 25 years. Sara was a lifetime member of Seward United Methodist Church, and her heart remained in Seward even though she moved to the Chambersburg area five years ago to be close to her family. Sara is survived by her son, mark, and wife, Libby, Chambersburg; grandson, Dr. Todd Felix, and wife, Betsy, and four children, Hershey; and granddaughter, Michelle (Shelly) Rydbom, and husband, Chad, and daughter, Chambersburg. She also is survived by one brother, Charles Sturni, and wife, Edna, Dayton, Ohio, as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of Jon A. Meese Funeral Home, Seward. Visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, with service to follow at the funeral home, Rev. Scott Hamley, officiating. Burial will be private at the discretion of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Seward United Methodist Church, Seward, Pa. 15954.
