DOHODA – Stanley Edward, 83, Seward, passed away April 26, 2015, at Windber Hospice. Born Nov. 25, 1931, in Jerome, son of John and Kathryn (Rycyk) Dohoda Sr. Preceded in death by parents; brother, Joseph; sister, Jennie Nowak; and nephew, Damian Donahue. Survived by loving wife of 55 years, former Patricia Donahue; loving children, Terena, married to David Rouse, Annapolis, Md.; Dr. Richard Dohoda, married to former Valerie Villanueva, Silverdale, Wash.; and Patricia, married to Dr. Kirk Maes, Vero Beach, Fla.; grandchildren, Kyra and Adam Rouse; Alexander, Jeffrey and Nicholas Dohoda; and Zachary and Allyssa Maes; and brother, John Dohoda Jr., Jerome. Also survived by special brothers- and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. He was retired with 37 years of service as a teacher at Laurel Valley School District. He graduated from Mississippi State, where he attended on a football scholarship. He received his master’s degree from IUP. He coached baseball, football and basketball at Laurel Valley. He was a founding member of Seward Little League. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 2, at Holy Family Catholic Church, Father Robert Washko, officiating. Private interment.
