MULLIGAN – Thomas, 80, Seward, passed away Oct. 5, 2013, at LaurelWood Nursing Care. Born Jan. 22, 1933, in New Florence R.D. 2, son of George and Alberta (Payne) Mulligan. Preceded in death by parents and sister, Gloria Lichtenfels. Survived by loving wife, the former Sandra Bouch; loving children, Thomas Boyd, married to the former Darlene Barelich, Seward; Kathy Lynn, married to Shane Lichtenfels, Seward; Douglas Wayne, married to the former Karen Wojszynsky, Pittsburgh; and Scott Andrew, married to the former Kelly Baker, Seward; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and sisters, Elsie Howard, Lois Howard, Barbara Hough and Norma Baird. Member of Valley Grace Brethren Church. Longtime Seward mayor, policeman, president of council and chief of police. He had more than 20 years of service at Florence Mining Co. Member of Local 1257 UMWA. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Longtime baseball coach and was the organist and a member of the church council at Valley Grace Brethren Church. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Jon A. Meese Funeral Home, Seward. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Valley Grace Brethren Church, Armagh, the Rev.
