Laney, Wilfred R., 81, of Strongstown died October 1, 2008 at Indiana Hospital. Born March 9, 1927 in Hangtown, PA. Son of Jesse and Minnie (Clevenger) Laney. Preceded in death by parents; daughter, Bernice; great granddaughter, Montana; and these brothers, Warren, Harry, Lindy, Norman, Carl, and Jessie Laney; special companion, Rachael Kane. Survived by loving children, Sandy married to Merle Hagens, Cardiff, PA, Donald married to the former Cindy Cassatt, Strongstown, Tina married to Terry Good, Northern Cambria, Patrick and fiance Mandy Kuhar, Vintondale, and Barbara Ann Dively, Colver; 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; brother, Clayton Laney: sisters, Wilda Bowser, Mildred Lute, Faye Kantz, Betty Skelly, Erma Petry, Naomi Warner. He loved to fish and loved his dog, ChiChi. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 pm Thursday and from 11 am up until time of funeral service at 1 pm on Friday at the Jon A.
