William Edward Stutzman

Stutzman, William Edward, 85, of Seward passed away December 15, 2024 at home.  Born October 3, 1939 in Seward, son of Edward L. and Helen (Dorney) Stutzman.  Preceded in death by parents, sisters Romayne Culwell, Joyce Kravec, Nancy Cuccia, and Janet Stutzman.  Survived by loving wife of 62 years, the former Elaine Burkett of Seward; loving children, Brian Stutzman married to Holly (Joyner) – Kentucky, Janis married to Greg Botteicher – Seward, Kevin Stutzman married to Tracy (Pluchinsky) – West Virginia, Greg Stutzman married to Shannon (Tilly) – Michigan; grandchildren, Kyra Hartley (Stephen), Seth Stutzman, Raegan Stutzman, Nicholas Botteicher, Braden Stutzman, Caleb Stutzman (Kensie), Lucas Stutzman, Aurora Stutzman, Sorcha Stutzman; great grandchildren, Frances and Briar Hartley; brother Jim Stutzman (Judy) – New York; and sister Shirley Grata – Johnstown.  Bill was a member of Seward Methodist Church and a U.S. Army Veteran.  He retired with 32 years of service at Penelec serving as Lineman and PM Technician.  He was a former Scout Leader, Baseball Coach, and Chief of the Seward Volunteer Fire Company.  Bill was the Emergency Management Coordinator for the 1977 Flood and was instrumental in the development of the Seward/ St. Clair Township Sanitary Authority.   He enjoyed golf, gardening, archery hunting, woodworking, and making furniture.  Bill was a member of Sandy Bottom Sportsmen Club, the VIP Program at Lee Hospital, and the Masonic Lodge 278, where he was a Past Master.  Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Jon A.  Meese Funeral Home, Seward.  Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Valley Grace Brethren Church, Armagh, The Rev Terry Reese officiating.  Interment, Armagh Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Heart Association or the Cleveland Clinic.
